About Me:

I’m a 29 year old Dietetic Intern who is also in graduate school. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition: Emphasis Dietetics and am working on a Master of Science in Exercise and Sports Nutrition. I’m also doing my Dietetic Internship rotation June through December, and plan on taking the licensing exam in January to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).

I’m also an active duty Army veteran who served for 6 years. I was a multimedia illustrator (25M) who was stationed at Fort Bragg NC for my entire service. I had the opportunity of going to Airborne school, was assigned to an Airborne unit and was introduced to what being fit really means! I met a lot of amazing people during my service and am grateful to every one who has influenced and helped me mature. I ETS’d in 2012 as an E5 and have been enjoying the civilian life since!

I am happily married to an amazing man named Christopher Blackmon. We live in the DFW area of Texas with our grumpy cat and derpy dog. I also love video games and renaissance faires. We’re both incredibly busy but we love traveling, food, and each other. ❤

 

This Blog:

It seems like a lot of people are surprised when I tell them my age, saying things like ‘You look so young for your age! What do you do?’. Well, this blog is going to be exactly what I do! I plan on taking photos of everything I eat, drink, and do for fitness, it’ll be a documentation of what makes me who I am essentially. I hope this will provide some insight into what a healthy lifestyle looks like, as I aim to be a role model in my profession. I’ll probably make posts on some of the more interesting things I do too, like trips with my wonderful husband and friends. I do cook most of my food so I’ll be happy to post recipes and instructions upon request! Feel free to send questions my way on nutrition and exercise and I will answer to the best of my ability.

Eat Know Do? What’s up with the name? Yeah, it’s a play on words for the NCO Corps ‘Be Know Do’. I know it’s cheesy, but hey cheese is delicious.
